Dublin-bound passenger jet in emergency landing
A British Airways passenger jet today made an emergency landing after the pilot reported a warning light in his cockpit, police said.
The jet, with 23 passengers and four crew on board, had taken off from Southampton airport at 7.13am on route to Dublin.
But shortly after taking off the pilot reported seeing the warning light and turned back to Southampton as a precaution.
The plane completed a safe landing at 8.12am.
Hampshire Police closed the nearby M27 motorway briefly while the aircraft came in.
