Management at the Harland and Wolff shipyard in Belfast has told the workers that they must improve productivity to ensure the future survival of the company.

The management said that uncompleted work must be finished on time if the shipyard and its employees hope to secure new orders.

Harland and Wolff, which laid off 900 of its 1400 staff last year, currently has just one order on its books.
