Killarney to lose more jobs

Underwear manufacturer Sarah Lee announced last night that it is to reduce its workforce at its Killarney plant by 84.

The plant, which supplies lingerie to the European market, currently employs 278 people.

The job losses will come into effect early next year.

A decline in consumer spending has been blamed.
