Four remanded in custody over Portarlington drugs haul

Four men with addresses in Co Laois, Co Cork and Dublin were remanded in custody today after being charged in connection with a cannabis seizure in Portarlington on Friday night.

Sean Whelan, Kenneth O’Mahony, Jason Howe and John Gallagher were all arrested after 4.6 tonnes of cannabis was found hidden in a container which arrived in Dublin Port on Thursday.
