Belfast attacks: Man due in court
A 28-year-old man was today expected to appear before magistrates in Belfast on charges in connection to the attacks of two women in Belfast.
The women were stabbed, one of them 13 times, near the centre of the city in the early hours of yesterday morning.
The man was due to appear at Belfast Magistrates Court this morning after being charged last night.
Police officers found the badly wounded pair in an entry close to a bar off High Street.
One had been stabbed in the back, and the second was stabbed repeatedly about the body.
Police Inspector Tom Haylett said: ‘‘It was unprovoked violence.’’
