Gardai discover bomb-making equipment in Dundalk

Gardai have discovered a quantity of bomb making equipment during a planned search near Dundalk, Co Louth.

The find was made in the Woodland area at Claremount, about two miles south of the town earlier this evening.

Local gardai and members of the special detective unit carried out the search.

Ballistics experts have been called in to examine the haul, which is believed to contain detonators, detonating chord and other equipment and clothes.
