Dana slams EU embryo research

Irish MEP Rosemary ‘Dana’ Scallon has attacked the European Union over its plans to fund research into pre-implanted embryos.

Ms Scallon said the initiative, which will lead to the destruction of human embryos, contravenes the Irish Human Life in Pregnancy Bill and is already illegal in three EU member states.
