Ryanair may be set to finally get its own terminal at Dublin Airport.

According to reports, the cabinet is about to approve the project in return for the low fares airline delivering one million new passengers to Ireland.

If the plan goes ahead, Dublin could replace Stansted as Ryanair's main European hub.

Shannon could be one of the main beneficiaries, with the airline committed to opening eight new routes from the airport next year.

Ryanair chief executive Michael O'Leary has so far not commented on the reports.
