Court orders farmers to supply beet to Greencore

Greencore has succeeded in getting an interim High Court injunction forcing farmers to supply beet to the company’s two sugar factories in Carlow and Mallow.

Greencore sought the injunction after the Irish Farmers Association told its members to withhold supplies from the sugar factories as part of a dispute over the price of beet.
