Man stabbed to death in Dublin

A man has been stabbed to death in Co Dublin.

The man, in his forties, was found with multiple stab wounds on a footpath on Bawnlea Drive in Tallaght.

He was discovered around 2.30am this morning and taken to Tallaght hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Gardai have begun investigations into the death.

The man is believed to have been a local from the area.
