Figures just released have shown an increase in the number of racist-related incidents in the last six months, according to the first report by the National Consultative Committee on Racism and Interculturalism.

Forty-one reports of racist incidents have been received between May and October of this year across the country. Of these incidents 56% have been in the Greater Dublin area, with a further 24% in other urban areas including Limerick, Ennis and Cork.
