The governor of the Central Bank, Maurice Connell, has told the Dail that the Celtic Tiger economic boom is all but over.

The governor of the Central Bank, Maurice Connell, has told the Dail that the Celtic Tiger economic boom is all but over.

Mr Connell told the Oireachtas Committee on Finance and Public Service that the events of September 11 have destroyed Ireland’s prospects of surviving the current global economic downturn, which began well before the attacks in the US.
