The Oireachtas inquiry into the CIE mini-CTC scandal will resume hearings today following a failed legal bid to halt its work.

The Oireachtas inquiry into the CIE mini-CTC scandal will resume hearings today following a failed legal bid to halt its work.

The widow of former CIE boss Michael McDonnell had attempted to stop the inquiry because she claimed it was damaging her late husband’s good name.

The inquiry now has four more days of direct examination of witnesses before cross-examination begins.
