INTO begins ballot on pay deal

Primary school teachers are beginning to be balloted on whether or not to accept a new £27-an-hour deal for supervising classes.

Meetings are being held around the country until November 14, at which the 25,000 teachers will be asked to vote. A result is expected within days of the ballot closing.
