SIPTU to talk with Aer Lingus on rescue package

SIPTU representatives from Dublin, Shannon and Cork have today agreed to enter negotiations with Aer Lingus on their rescue package.

The decision was taken on the strength of assurances from the Taoiseach to the Irish Congress of Trade Unions, that he would endeavour to ensure additional financial support for the State carrier.
