One dies, four injured in crash

A man in his late twenties died and four others were seriously injured in a crash in Co Kildare last night.

Two cars were involved in the accident, which happened shortly after 8.30pm.

The crash occurred in Ballymanny outside Newbridge.

The injured people - three women and a man - were taken to Naas general hospital for treatment.
