A 37-year-old former Irish soldier was jailed for life at the Central Criminal Court today for murdering his 20-year-old neighbour.

The jury found Tommy O’Brien, from Ashbourne in Co Meath, guilty of murder after hearing evidence that he shot Dermot McKeever in the Milltown Estate on January 1st, 2000.
