The Irish Medical Organisation has said short-term measures as well as a far-sighted strategy are needed to improve Ireland’s health service.

The Irish Medical Organisation has said short-term measures as well as a far-sighted strategy are needed to improve Ireland’s health service.

In its submission to the Government’s new health strategy, the IMO said increased waiting lists, manpower shortages, increased workload, low morale and a backlog of "non-implemented" proposals reflect the current state of the health service.
