Adams praises 'unprecedented' IRA move on arms

Sinn Fein president Gerry Adams has described this evening’s statement from the IRA as a "huge, liberating leap forward".

He said the IRA’s decision to decommission its weapons was "unprecedented and groundbreaking" and should end the current impasse in the Irish peace process.
