Hundreds of mourners gathered for the state funeral of Patrick Maher which took place in Co Limerick earlier today.

Hundreds of mourners gathered for the state funeral of Patrick Maher which took place in Ballylanders, Co Limerick today.

Patrick Maher was one of the 10 volunteers honoured in last weekend's funeral in Dublin.

He was executed at Mountjoy Prison, Dublin on June 7, 1921. Last Sunday, the remaining volunteers were laid to rest in Glasnevin Cemetery, Dublin.
