Man arrested after Kilkenny anthrax scare

Gardai in Kilkenny have arrested a 20-year-old man after an envelope containing white powder was posted to St Luke’s Hospital in the city this morning.

The man is being held at Kilkenny Garda Station under section four of the Criminal Justice Act.

He can be held for up to 12 hours without charge.
