SIPTU call on Government to aid Aer Lingus

SIPTU is calling on the Government to defy the European Commission and provide aid to Aer Lingus.

The call came as Aer Lingus issued 100 redundancy notices to staff at the troubled airline. The union is outraged that the company has moved so quickly and without any consultation with workers.
