Belfast 'peace line' to be extended

The North’s Security Minister, Jane Kennedy has announced an extension of the Belfast ‘peace line’ in an attempt to calm tensions between Protestant and Catholic residents in north Belfast.

The North’s Security Minister, Jane Kennedy has announced an extension of the Belfast ‘peace line’ in an attempt to calm tensions between protestant and catholic residents in north Belfast.

The ‘peaceline’ will be extended between the protestant Glenbryn Park area and the Ardoyne Road.

Ms Kennedy also called for an end to the loyalist protest outside the catholic Holy Cross primary school on Ardoyne Road and rejected loyalist requests for a gate to be erected on the road to keep catholics out of the protestant end.
