Junior Minister Joe Jacob has said the British Government’s decision to allow the manufacture of MOX fuel at Sellafield defies logic.

Junior Minister Joe Jacob has said the British Government’s decision to allow the manufacture of MOX fuel at Sellafield defies logic.

In a statement released this afternoon, Mr Jacob said he finds it difficult to understand the decision in light of the current threat to global security.

He said the Irish Government will now step up its legal challenge to the continued operation of the Sellafield nuclear plant.
