EU parliament president to visit Dublin

The President of the European Parliament, Nicole Fontaine, is to visit Dublin in two weeks’ time to assess Ireland’s recent rejection of the Nice Treaty.

Mme Fontaine will discuss the ramifications of the ‘no’ vote with government officials on October 15th and 16th. Irish MEPs have welcomed the initiative.
