A 24-year-old man has appeared before a special sitting of the Limerick

District Court and has been charged with the murder of 40-year-old Anthony

O'Shea last night.

Anthony McMahon from Raheen Square in Ballinacurraweston

was remanded in custody to appear again next Thursday.

The Court heard how the Mr McMahon was charged with the murder at 4 p.m this afternoon and that he made no reply to the charges.

The Judge ordered that McMahon be remanded into custody and that he should be provided with whatever necessary medical and psychological care.
