Waterford Crystal has confirmed that its staff will be asked to work shorter hours because of the downturn in the US economy and the fall in the number of American visitors to Ireland.

Waterford Crystal has confirmed that its staff will be asked to work shorter hours because of the downturn in the US economy and the fall in the number of American visitors to Ireland.

Chief executive John Foley said the structure of the reduced manufacturing programme has yet to be decided.
