Aer Lingus to hold meeting with O'Rourke
Aer Lingus will today highlight its demands and concerns to the Minister for Public Enterprise, Mary O’Rourke, in the wake of the international crisis in the aviation industry.
About 1,700 jobs are at risk because of the major drop in traffic following the terrorist attacks in the United States.
There have been comforting signals from the EU following the emergency meeting in Brussels at the weekend but it is still not clear if the ban on state aid will be lifted.
