Trimble blames Blair for IRA failure to disarm

Ulster Unionist leader David Trimble today hit out at Tony Blair for failing to secure IRA disarmament as he prepared a bid to oust Sinn Fein from government.

Mr Trimble insisted republicans have been allowed to manipulate the peace process to the extent unionists have been left with virtually nothing of what made them endorse the Good Friday Agreement.
