Irish victims of terrorist attacks stands at five so far

So far, there have been five confirmed Irish fatalities and a further eight Irish-born people are still reported to be missing following last week’s terrorist attacks in New York and Washington.

According to the Department of Foreign Affairs, it is possible that there were more Irish people killed in the attacks but they may not be known to officials because they were in America without the appropriate documents.
