Govt to declare national day of mourning

The Government is expected to declare a national day of mourning as a mark of respect for the thousands of Americans who lost their lives in yesterday’s attacks in New York and Washington.

All schools, businesses and commercial activity will be shut down for 24 hours to show Ireland’s solidarity with the American people.
