Gardai name young boy killed in Cork fire

Gardai have released the name of the boy who died this morning after last night’s fire at a construction site in Cork.

He was nine-year-old Steven Long from Douglas, Co Cork.

The boy was engulfed in flames when a barrel of wood preservative ignited at the construction site in Rochestown shortly before 6pm yesterday.
