Latvian charged over Adrian Bestea murder
Gardai in Dublin have charged a second man in connection with the murder of 21-year-old Romanian immigrant Adrian Bestea in July.
The Latvian national, believed to be in his 30s, was arrested yesterday morning in Dublin city centre and charged with assault late last night.
He is currently being held in Mountjoy Garda Station and is due to appear before the District Court tomorrow morning.
The Latvian is the second person facing charges in connection with Mr Bestea’s death.
On Friday, 28-year-old Ukrainian Igor Derjhak was remanded in custody after being charged with assaulting Mr Bestea 12 days before his body was discovered inside a suitcase in the Royal Canal near Croke Park in Dublin.
The Romanian died after suffering a number of blows to the head.
