Man accused of robbing pensioners
A 26-year-old man will appear in a Dublin court this morning charged with a spate of robberies on pensioners in recent weeks.
One of the alleged incidents involved a blind man in his 70s.
It is believed that at least eight robberies have taken place in the past two months on pensioners living alone in the centre of the capital.
The last alleged incident occurred on Thursday night, when an 83-year-old man was threatened with a knife at his home off Dublin’s Gardiner Street.
£700 was taken in that attack.
