Customs officers have raided an oil-laundering plant in Rassan, Co Louth which had the capacity to produce up to 250,000 litres of illegal ‘washed’ oil each week.

Customs officers have raided an oil-laundering plant in Rassan, Co Louth which had the capacity to produce up to 250,000 litres of illegal ‘washed’ oil each week.

More than 50,000 litres of oil were seized during today’s operation, along with five oil tankers and a range of equipment.
