The Chinese Premier has agreed to examine the case of a Trinity College

student imprisoned when he returned home to China three years ago.

Human rights issues dominated a meeting between Premier Zhu Rongji and Taoiseach Bertie Ahern.

The case of Zhao Ming and other human rights issues were raised during the talks.

However at a news conference the Premier insisted the Falun Gong movement, of which the student is a member, should be outlawed.

Official talks are continuing into the afternoon, although they are now focusing on trade.
