Three people arrested following drugs seizure

Three people have been arrested in Waterford following the seizure of £250,000 worth of drugs in the city today.

The operation follows an investigation lasting a number of days.

Gardai raided two houses in the area, one of them on the coast where most of the drugs were discovered.

Weighing scales and a smaller quantity of drugs were found at a second house, at St John’s Park in the city.

The drugs involved are cannabis resin and an unidentified powder, which is currently being tested.

The three arrested are being held under Section Two of the Criminal Justice Act.
