Two escape second Dublin fire
Two people had a lucky escape from a Dublin housefire overnight.
A 12-year-old boy died in a separate blaze in the city.
A man in his twenties and a woman were pulled from a housefire on the southside's Londonbridge Drive by fire fighters.
Three units of the fire brigade tackled the blaze and rescued the pair. The man was taken to St Vincent’s Hospital suffering from smoke inhalation.
Gardai are investigating the blaze and another in which a 12-year-old boy died.
The youngster was in a makeshift den when it caught fire.
Emergency services were called to the scene on Rossfield Avenue at 5.15am and the young boy was pronounced dead at the scene.
Gardai have not yet established a cause for the blaze and have preserved the scene for technical examination.
