DUP call for Unionist unity on police reform plan
A Democratic Unionist minister on the Stormont Executive insisted his party’s motives were sincere in calling for unionist unity to secure more favourable changes to the police reform plan.
Regional Development Minister and East Derry MP Gregory Campbell said: ‘‘The SDLP and Sinn Fein, for many months, argued and debated and met with the Government because the implementation plan wasn’t something that they could find themselves in agreement with. They secured changes.
