Construction workers to hold safety march

Up to 1,000 construction workers are expected to stage a protest in Dublin this morning to highlight the number of deaths in the sector in recent years.

Up to 1,000 construction workers are expected to stage a protest in Dublin this morning to highlight the number of deaths in the sector in recent years.

The workers are calling for more safety inspectors on sites and are also looking for increases in fines where breaches of safety regulations occur.

This morning's protest will see the workers march to the Tánaiste's office where a rally will be held.
