Fine Gael claims 'crisis' in science sector

Fine Gael has called on the Minister for Education to take action over what it calls a crisis in the science and technology sectors.

The party said poor grades in physics and chemistry are strong indicators of the problem, which has resulted in a drop in the uptake of third level courses in science.
