Majority of Britons back United Ireland - poll

Far more people in Britain believe Northern Ireland should be part of a united Ireland than remain as a part of the UK, according to a poll published today.

The poll, certain to come as a blow to Ulster Unionism, shows that just 26% of people questioned on the British mainland believed Northern Ireland should remain in the UK.
