Irishman pleads insanity in Panama murder trial

An Irishman accused of stabbing his best friend to death in Panama has pleaded not guilty on the grounds that he was mentally ill at the time of the attack.

35-year-old Peter Byrne, from Cork, has been in psychiatric care since he stabbed Max Conroy in July 1999.
