Cowen and Reid discuss best way forward

The Minister for Foreign Affairs, Brian Cowen, has met with Northern Secretary John Reid in Hillsborough Castle to discuss how to proceed following the suspension of the Northern Assembly yesterday.

Speaking after the meeting, both men called on all the pro-agreement parties to use the next six weeks to make progress on the central issues of decommissioning, demilitarisation and policing.
