Ireland’s annual inflation rate dipped to 4.8% last month, down by 0.5% on the June figure, according to figures today.

The drop marked the fourth successive monthly decrease of Ireland’s price-rise level and signalled a measure of success for Government efforts to slow the rate after it touched a high of 7% last November.
