Reid set to suspend Northern Ireland Assembly

Ulster Secretary John Reid is poised to suspend the Northern Ireland Assembly.

He is unlikely to make a decision for at least another 48 hours, but all sides have virtually given up hope of a last-minute breakthrough to salvage the peace process.
