Mombasa search for Irish child

The search for an Irish child missing after three other members of its family drowned off the Kenyan coast is resuming this morning.

The tragedy occurred off the resort of Mombasa during a family fishing trip. An Irish woman, her British husband and one of their children drowned when a boat

capsized after being struck by a freak wave, a second child is missing.

Kenyan naval divers have joined the search. It was hoped the child's body

would be located inside the wreck of the fishing boat, but it has been found

to be empty.

It is understood the family, who lived in Dublin, were just two days into their holiday when the tragedy happened.
