Labour seeks ban on 'gifting schemes'

The Labour Party has urged the Government to amend the Pyramid Selling Act to outlaw so-called 'gifting schemes'.

The participants in one of these schemes were robbed of around £20,000 on Wednesday night during a raid on one of their meetings in Blackrock, Co Dublin.
