Sale of fish caught by anglers banned

The Government has banned the sale of wild salmon and sea trout caught by rod and line anglers.

Announcing the ban, Marine Minister Frank Fahey warned that there must be further reductions in commercial fishing catches next year if dwindling fish stocks are to be preserved for future generations.
