Arms decommissioning 'indispensable' - North report

Decommissioning of paramilitary arms is "indispensable" to the future of the Northern peace process, the Irish and British Governments insisted today.

The putting of all paramilitary weapons beyond use must be resolved to the satisfaction of the disarmament commission appointed under the Good Friday Agreement, the Governments said.
